Ethan completed his undergraduate studies in Health and Human Sciences at James Madison University and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University. He began his career at OrthoVirginia, where he spent 6 years honing his skills treating acute injuries, treating chronic neck/back pain, and rehabbing patients following orthopedic surgeries.
Ethan participated in an extensive post-grad education program through the Virginia Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Institute during his time at OrthoVirginia. Following completion of the program, he sat for and passed the Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist exam. This earned him the distinction of becoming a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.
Ethan went on to open and manage Phoenix Physical Therapy’s Richmond clinic for 3 years. It was during his time with Phoenix that he began rehabbing swimmers. He developed strong relationships with NOVA of Virginia Aquatics, SwimRVA, and Poseidon Swimming due to his ability to rehab a swimmer’s injury while keeping them in the pool. He also earned the trust of several sports physicians and orthopedic surgeons who typically oversee the care of competitive swimmers, including Dr. Jody Smith, Dr. Bill Nordt, and Dr. Robert Tuten. Ethan’s success and this trust have led to referrals of athletes who participate in other sports, including cycling, running, triathlon, golf, tennis, baseball, gymnastics, and cheerleading.
Ethan brings 11+ years of experience to the plate for each and every patient he treats. He is devoted to continued education so he can provide the best treatment to his future patients.
